If you're looking for something to occupy that awkward time between life and responsibility, Mafia Live might be for you. Explore the joys of this addicting iPhone app.

Mafia Live, the fabulously fabled mobster application for the iPhone and iPod Touch is sweeping the nation as one of the most addictive gadget games around.

While users are working their fingertips raw trying to figure out how to play the game well, there is a better way. Get the game started with these compelling and long sought after tips on choosing the perfect class.

Fair warning: To play the game well means a serious commitment. It’s a 24/7 gig; therefore one cannot be opposed to setting an alarm to go off every hour in order to wake up and bank.

The Purpose of Mafia Live

There really is no other purpose for this game than to fall into an apathetic state of fantasy while carrying out the fundamental duties of a gangster: to fight other mobsters, to do jobs that are generally against the law, to invest in real estate and to make money from them all.

Players needen't worry about skipping town though; it’s all part of the fun.

Classes in Mafia Live

After the download process and completing the arduous task of choosing a family name, there will be an easy and completely necessary tutorial. During this tutorial, a class will be chosen. While some recommend becoming a Capitalist (probably because it implies money), they each have their merits. Be sure to read about all the classes before settling on one:

Capitalist

  • Real estate is deposited every 50 minutes.
  • One point of health, energy and stamina is recharged every five minutes.

Bottom line: for a Capitalist to be the wealthiest class, one needs to have a tremendous amount of cash flow in order to make more money than they would in fighting as an Executioner.

Executioner

  • Stamina recharges at a rate of one point per four minutes rather than five.
  • Level faster.
  • Real estate deposits every 60 minutes rather than 50.

Bottom line: making money quickly is the Executioners advantage.

Psychopath

  • Easier to level with because energy recharges a lot quicker.
  • One point of energy is recharged every three minutes
  • Real estate returns are deposited every 60 minutes.

Bottom line: Psychopath will level fastest but won’t make as much money as the other classes.

Choosing a class is as simple as determining whether leveling or making tons of money is important. However, to spend more time playing the game rather than starting it, with all the self analysis that this entails, players shouldn't be afraid to choose a class on a whim.
